Harsh Life Lessons for youths in their post-teen age
1. 20 kids can’t play for 20 years
As you grow and become adult, you will have to change the people around you. More so, you need to understand earlier in your life that not all friends are meant to be kep. Friends that doesn’t bring any value to your relationship should be jettison and gotten rid of, not by exposed pronouncement but by avoidance and wisdom. Not all friends are meant to be kept, bcause really many don’t deserve to be, but for the ones that deserve to stay and adds value to your life do preserve them.
2. The going does’t get easier
Many have heard the popular saying that “life is not a bed of Rose” but they don’t really stop to think about it’s full meaning, Many Youths live their lives thinking that as they grow to adults things will relatively get easier for them. They think in the way of getting more freedom, independence, more liberty and all that, but they forget that their age is their power and “with great power comes great responsibility”. It doesn’t mean it will be generally tough, but we want you to prepare your mind for whatever comes your way and be ready to give it what it takes to truly climb the ladders of life.
3. You may not figure everything out, and it’s alright
May be you think now is the time to find answers to all of life’s question, well! you may not be wrong and yet not absolutely right. Many things will unfold itself as time comes by but if you can’t seem to figure it all out at once then it’s fine, it’s a sign to be patience, persevere and lean on people who have been there before, remember. “no one is an island of itself”.
4. Life is Black or White, Good or Ugly?
Real life can be Ugly or Good, Black or White, loving or hating, it all depends on your perspective, and whatever your the case may be always see the Good side of life even when everyone sees it ugly and worth not living.
5. Your parents are your most reliable support
Many don’t accept, but your parents are often your greatest life support, they are experienced and in most cases they see more than you, submitting to their guidance will help you a long to achieve your life’s goal and dreams, you may not spend that long time with them but they are your most reliable backbone, don’t keep off they or try to be on your own.
6. Debt! Debt!! Debt!!!
Millennials are the most indebted generation, they buy almost everything on credit. The US consumer debt analysis is climbing to all high of 20% GDP and almost 45% of that debt is owed by millennials. You need to understand that debt can be your worst enemy, be different, spend prudently, keep a good realistic budget, be different and while being different be your real self. By all means avoid INDEBTEDNESS at all areas of your life.
7. Relationship can be fragile
keeping a good relationship is not a day’s job, neither is it a easy thing, but most importantly you need to learn how to keep good relationship with meaningful people, build rapports and network with Life’s best Influencers. Relationship can be fragile but learn how to relate only with rich minds.
8. Settling down might not be so easy
You may not find very easy at first to start an independent life, the type that you really crave, but press on the more because life has something great for you, you just have to sit tighter.
9. Self-love, self-esteem and self confidence
These are three virtues you need to sought in your life diligently. It is true that there is no one who doesn’t love him/herself but there is more to it that that. I once worked in a place as a junior operative, in that workplace i met people of my age as senior staff, most behaved so irrationally they almost got me estranged, but i am too strong to be! I tell myself each day that being senior doesn’t make them better than me, because I am me!
10. ‘I am Busy’ Syndrome
Everyone is busy this days, but the question is – doing what? many are busy doing nothing. they just endlessly fill themselves with task that adds little or no value to their lives. To say the worst many are just busy bodies. Many leave important tasks undone saying they don’t have time, get this and get it clear, you will never “find” time, unless you make it.
I wish you well in all of life Endeavor!
